Telepresence
A virtual onboarding experience that allows users to navigate through an immersive office environment at their own pace.

Vodafone Group organized a global AR/VR hackathon for its employees, featuring various design thinking sessions, workshops, and collaborative opportunities.

During the hackathon, our team engaged in design thinking sessions to identify employee issues. I acquired proficiency in Unity software and gained insights into various industry use cases of AR/VR, along with understanding Vodafone Business's customer experience goals. "Telepresence," clinched 3rd place out of 15 teams of Vodafone Designers worldwide. The project received widespread acclaim from senior leaders and managers globally for its attention to detail and rich features.

Proposed solution

The team conceived the idea of introducing a virtual onboarding experience for new joiners, allowing them to explore 3D virtual offices from the comfort of their homes.
The Vodafone bot - TOBi, leads users through the immersive office environment or allows them to explore at their own pace. This initiative aims to enhance understanding of company culture, leading to improved employee engagement and productivity. Additionally, it's expected to enhance memory retention and responsiveness. Moreover, TOBi facilitates effective training, potentially reducing the learning curve for new employees.
Implementation
VR Headsets or affordable Google cardboard sets, will be included in the new joiners’ kits.
