Otico A Medical Device

To design an interface for a device Otoscope and enhance the interaction between the machine and the user.

During my undergraduate studies in Industrial Design, Otico was created as part of a human-machine interface design course. This live project was conducted in collaboration with the distinguished design studio, Keon Designs.

LEARNINGS
  • Gaining a deep understanding of the diverse user base, including healthcare professionals with varying levels of experience and patients of different ages and conditions is essential.
     

  • Design the interface to be intuitive and easy to navigate, minimizing the need for training and ensuring efficient operation.
     

  • Ensure compatibility with existing medical equipment and electronic health record systems for seamless integration into healthcare workflows.
     

  • Adhere to relevant medical device regulations and standards to ensure safety, reliability, and legal compliance.
